The Northwest Energy Technology Collaborative (NWETC) was formed in 2002 to accelerate the emergence and growth of the energy technology industry in the Pacific Northwest. As a flagship program under WTC’s Industries of Distinction Initiative, NWETC provides leadership and support to energy technology entrepreneurs in order to strengthen Washington’s economy and global competitiveness.
Today, NWETC is a cooperative of partnerships that extends across the northwest region of the U.S. and Canada—a region that is home to nearly 300 energy technology companies. NWETC helps energy companies tap into resources that further development and commercialization of energy products and services.
NWETC’s broad range of programs and services includes three unique portfolios: Research and Development, Commercialization Services and Regional Branding.
